In a bid to empower young women, Amar Ujala Foundation’s flagship initiative “Aparajita” was recently held at Durga Women’s College, Fatehabad Tohana. The event witnessed the participation of 450 girl students, who gathered to gain insights into leading a healthier and more balanced life.
Dr. Ritu Gupta, the chief guest for the occasion, shared her wisdom with the enthusiastic audience. She urged the students to adopt a stress-free lifestyle, highlighting the significance of mental health in today’s fast-paced world. “To live a healthy life, it’s crucial to maintain a positive mindset along with taking care of your physical health,” Dr. Gupta stated.
She also stressed the importance of consuming home-cooked meals, as they are the healthiest option compared to fast food and junk food, which can lead to various diseases. Dr. Gupta encouraged the students to incorporate at least 30 minutes of exercise into their daily routine, as regular physical activity is key to maintaining both mental and physical health.
Moreover, Dr. Gupta addressed the issue of mobile phone usage among students, advising them to limit their screen time to avoid distractions that can hinder their academic performance. “If you take on too much stress, it will be difficult to concentrate on your studies,” she remarked.
The Aparajita event served as a platform for young women to learn about the importance of self-care and healthy living. Through such initiatives, the Amar Ujala Foundation continues to contribute to the empowerment of women, fostering a generation of strong, independent, and healthy individuals.
