In a vibrant session filled with historical references and motivational dialogue, Amar Ujala Foundation organized an empowering event under its Aparajita initiative at Sadguru Public School in Jankikund, Chitrakoot. Anjali Bhatnagar, a distinguished educator, led the session, focusing on vital themes of women’s economic empowerment and security.
Bhatnagar emphasized the need for women to be economically self-reliant and to aspire to high-achieving roles in society. “Just like Rani Lakshmi Bai, who bravely fought against British colonialism, today's women should also strive to be fearless and assertive in all spheres of life,” Bhatnagar said. She encouraged the students to pursue higher education and consider careers in fields traditionally dominated by men, such as engineering and medicine.
Highlighting recent achievements, Bhatnagar pointed out that Indian women have been excelling internationally, especially in sports, bringing glory to the nation through numerous medals. "These achievements are not just wins in the field of sports but are symbolic of our potential in all fields," she noted.
The session also covered the historical impact of iconic figures like Rani Lakshmi Bai, who is revered not only for her role in India’s struggle for independence but also as a symbol of women’s rights and empowerment. Bhatnagar’s talk was aimed at inspiring these young women to follow in such footsteps and blaze their own trails.
This initiative by Amar Ujala Foundation is part of a broader commitment to fostering environments where women can thrive equally and without barriers. Through educational sessions like these, the foundation hopes to instill confidence and ambition in young women across the country.
